This Privacy Policy explains how Happily Ever Waxed, LLC ("we," "us," "our"), an independently owned and operated Waxing the City^® studio located at 1533 Town Center Drive, Lakeside Village, Lakeland, FL 33803, collects, uses, and shares information when you visit www.waxinglakelandfl.com (the "Site") or contact us through it.

We are an independent franchisee. Waxing the City Franchisor, LLC is a separate company and is not responsible for our privacy practices on this Site.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Contact details: first and last name, mobile phone number, email address.
Appointment preferences: preferred day and time, and any notes you choose to type in.
Your communication choices: which consent boxes you checked or left unchecked.

Information collected automatically

Submission metadata: the date and time you submitted the form, the page URL, the page that referred you, and your browser's user-agent string. We keep this as a record of your consent.
Advertising parameters: if you arrived from an ad, campaign identifiers in the link (for example utm_source, utm_campaign, fbclid).
Analytics and advertising technologies: this Site uses measurement tags (commonly called pixels) to understand how our advertising performs — for example a Meta pixel for Facebook and Instagram ads. These tags may be operated by us, by our advertising agency, or by Waxing the City Franchisor, LLC. A tag of this kind may collect your device and browser information, IP address, the pages you view on this Site, and whether you submitted the form, and share that information with the platform that operates it. It does not collect the name, phone number, or email address you type into our form unless we specifically configure it to, and we do not do so.

We do not intentionally collect health information, payment card numbers, or government ID numbers through this Site. Please do not type sensitive health details into the notes field — save those for your in-studio intake form and consultation.

2. How we use your information

To contact you about the appointment request you submitted and to schedule your service.
To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and other transactional messages.
To send you marketing emails or marketing text messages — only if you separately opted in to each of those.
To create or update your guest record in our booking and CRM system.
To measure how our advertising performs.
To comply with law and to keep records of the consent you gave us.

3. Marketing communications, and how to stop them

Marketing email and marketing text messages are separate opt-ins. Checking one does not opt you into the other, and neither is required in order to book a service or receive our offer.

Text messages

If you checked the SMS box, you consented to receive marketing texts and other communications that may be automated or placed with artificial voice, placed by or on behalf of Waxing the City Franchisor LLC and/or Waxing the City-brand franchisees, even if your number is on a state or national Do Not Call list. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Text STOP anytime to opt out. Consent is not a condition of purchase and you can withdraw it at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Full details are in the Waxing the City Text Messaging Terms.

We will not share your phone or text message information with other affiliates.

Appointment confirmations and reminders are transactional, not marketing. If you want to stop those as well, contact the studio directly.

Email

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at lakelandfl@waxingthecity.com and we will remove you.

Phone

Tell us on any call, or contact us using the details below, and we'll stop calling.

We honor opt-out requests promptly. Because our studio uses the Waxing the City corporate booking and CRM platform, we also record your opt-out in that system so it is applied consistently.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in exchange for money. We do not share your phone number or text message information with other affiliates.

We do share it with:

Our booking and CRM provider (Zenoti), which stores your guest record and sends transactional and marketing messages on our behalf.
Waxing the City Franchisor, LLC and its corporate marketing systems, consistent with our franchise agreement.
Our form and hosting providers (Netlify (site hosting) and Supabase (secure form delivery)), which process and deliver your submission.
Advertising and analytics platforms, including Meta Platforms, Inc., through the measurement tags described above. We do not upload your name, phone number, or email address to any advertising platform, and we do not use your contact information to build advertising audiences.
Law enforcement or others where required by law, or to protect our rights, our staff, or public safety.

5. How long we keep it

We keep guest contact records for as long as you are an active or prospective guest, and we keep consent and opt-out records for at least [X] years after your last interaction, because we may need them to demonstrate compliance with communications laws. [CONFIRM THIS RETENTION PERIOD WITH YOUR ATTORNEY — a common recommendation is at least 5 years, but verify.]

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

Tell you what personal information we hold about you;
Correct information that's wrong;
Delete your information, subject to records we're required or permitted to keep;
Stop sending you marketing.

Residents of other states (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia) may have similar rights. We will honor verified requests where those laws apply to us.

7. Children

This Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through this Site. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Third-party links

This Site links to third-party sites, including our online booking system and Waxing the City corporate properties. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be posted prominently on this page.
